1000 things one world or can it go away? An exploratory question game!
We take everyday objects and favorite things for granted. We are surrounded by them, we use them, look at them and put them aside again. In our object theater project, we want to focus on them, give them our attention and give them space. How do things move us? What noises and sounds do they inspire us to make? What stories do we discover through them and tell ourselves and others?
The properties of things and objects were examined in various settings and laboratories. Short sequences were created in cinematic and auditory settings, in which everyday objects were placed in a new (physical) relationship.
In a first workshop entitled “König`*innen von heute”, pupils from Schule am Zille-Park developed their own creations before attending a performance at the Schaubude. In the three-day laboratory “Things of Transience”, the pupils explored the phenomenon of time. They created their first small slow-motion videos and a collection of quotes about time. In another workshop, the neighborhood was mapped anew using relevant places of life and leisure. And using sound as a tool and techniques such as graphic notation, pupils developed their own graphic music translations.
