She is a puppeteer, he is a musician and their cabaret is about nothing less than life and death. The gigantic machinery of imagination that they set in motion is similar to the machine that determines our destiny: the weaving loom that, in ancient times, people believed was in the hands of the three Fates – Tria Fata – and used to spin, unfurl and break the threads of our lives.
And so an old woman finds herself in a struggle with death: in order to extend her time on earth a little bit, the Grim Reaper suggests to show her the course of her life once more in fast forward. We experience the metamorphosis of a life, performed by marionettes and table puppets, a clarinet, an accordion and drums: a dynamic and hallucinatory kaleidoscope shortly before the lights go out.

Compagnie La Pendue is famous for the way that they expertly interpret traditional forms of puppetry in a contemporary way. After Tria Fata has been enthusiastically received by audiences internationally, the production can now finally be seen in Berlin as the closing performance for the 2023 edition of Theater der Dinge.
