Acting and puppetry
It is early in the morning when the little bug Taumel, still very sleepy, crawls out of a suitcase. Suddenly she finds herself in an enormous…, uh, what is that, actually? It’s loud here and she was just with her friends in the quiet little forest. The “buggy” insect begins a fantastic journey full of strange things and confusing new dimensions.
Josephine Nahrstedt works as a performance artists, choreographer and actor in the independent performing arts community and is regularly hired as a guest actor at repertory and ensemble theaters. In her own interdisciplinary projects, she focuses on a movement-oriented approach and conducts research into the opportunities for expression in her body language. For Taumel, she is working together with the textile artist Robert Kis and the dramatist Clara Leinemann. In the spring of 2023, used a #TakeHeart residency at Schaubude Berlin to conduct research into how the plastic material of the costumes from the production Taumel could move in public space.
Taumel has a diary. You can find it here >>>
