Growing up in a village in Vorarlberg at the beginning of the 19th century is no easy task. Being gifted with unusual talents makes life unfairly difficult. Some people fail to recognize a musical genius, while others attempt to repress it. Young Johannes Elias Alder tries to work against the adversities in his life with all of his might since all of his love is dedicated, alongside music, to his cousin.
