Uncertain Studio invites you to be a part of a political tabletop role playing game! »How to F*** up the Revolution« places five players within a fictitious world where a revolution has just achieved victory. The revolutionaries, however, are in the midst of fighting for power amongst various factions. In their roles, the audience takes the necessary measures in order to develop their utopian visions.

The game was developed and tested in Taiwan with a group of people whose grandparents were involved in the White Terror in Taiwan as agent or judges between 1949 and 1991, which was carried out against thousands of dissenters and opponents of the Kuomintang government. Some of the participants had perpetrators as well as victims amongst their ancestors and were thus able to bring the contradictions between humanity and politics into the artistic process.
The artist group Uncertain Studio has its roots in object and miniature theater and has increasingly turned its focus in recent years to the performative aspects of board games, workshops and tourism in order to find new ones of negotiating societal topics artistically. During Theater der Dinge, the artists will also present their newest production, »The Collection of Time in the Polymer Age«.

How to F*** up the Revolution is a performance where the audience interacts together around one table and places itself in roles. Participation without interaction is not possible in this performance. The language of the game is English.
