The international Theater der Dinge Festival, taking place from November 3–10, 2020 at Ballhaus Ost, Heinrich Böll Foundation, tak – Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg and Schaubude Berlin, will focus on “Artificial Bodies.“ In addition to the preview “1/0/1 robots – hacking the binary code” by the artist collective Manufaktor, there will be performances dealing with body image in the digital age from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Catalonia and Austria.

Essays, interviews, pictures and reflections on the festival programme are soon to be found at www.theaterderdinge.com.

Digital foyer

Every festival needs a foyer. This year, a Telegram group will offer a digital foyer with the opportunity to exchange ideas, toast via gif, and access the latest information about the festival. Invitation link from the end of October 2020.

Audio description

Impressions of the festival programme for blind and visually impaired people can be found this year on the social media channels of the Schaubude Berlin and on the festival blog: Explorations with introductions by the artistic director Tim Sandweg and audio descriptions by Anke Nicolai are going to be available for Erthe installations "Earthbounds," "Attention Aerolsols!", "HEART" und der Ausstellung "Weak Transmission."

Digital Foyer

This year, the festival foyer will materialize virtually in a telegram group. The invitation link respectively the QR code will be published at the live venues and at digital events directly in the video call.
