Accessibility venue

The HfS Ernst Busch is essentially barrier-free for wheelchair users. The main building is accessible via a ramp next to the main entrance. The ramp is 20 metres long, 1.30 metres wide and has a gradient of 5.36%.  The doors of the main entrance have two leaves with a total width of 2 metres, the door leaves are 1 metre wide. Unfortunately, the doors cannot be opened automatically.

All rooms are wheelchair-accessible without thresholds. There is a lift next to the stairwell. The lift is 1.10 metres wide and 1.40 metres deep.

Seats for wheelchair users and accompanying persons are located on the DOWN stage in the first row.

The lift mentioned above can be used to reach the stage ABOVE. Seats for wheelchair users and accompanying persons are located in the front row.

Accessible toilets

Barrier-free toilets can be found on the ground floor and 2nd floor. There are also barrier-free showers for students and teaching staff.

For blind and visually impaired people

A tactile floor guidance system leads to reception. In the lifts, the floors and door movements are announced and the buttons are labelled in Braille.
