Let’s transport ourselves to the year 2097 for a short time. Let’s imagine that our breakneck consumer society has led to an unprecedented transformation of the human species and created hybrids somewhere between animal, plant, mineral, machine and object. What has become of our body and our soul? How will these new living beings behave on our planet? What questions result from this for art and for science? But let’s get back to the present – as these new forms of life already exist.

Michaël Cros works at the interface between puppetry and media art. With La Méta-Carpe, he takes environmental topics into consideration from the perspective of science fiction and anthropology. This work invites the audience to discover hybrid creatures on a tour through the Heinrich-Böll-Bibliothek and to imagine a possible future with images, sound and digital technology.

Information About Accessibility: You can find information about the physical accessibility of the performance venue here. The performance begins outside in front of the library. The audience will move through the performance venue together and there are not seating options everywhere. Part of the route is a staircase; an elevator is available, but it can only be used with the assistance of the festival team. Please inquire at the box office if you need to use it.
