A bizarre creature, created between the alchemical connection between human being and machine: a lonely cyborg sits behind a desk, the lumberjack shirt illuminated by the glow of the display. He explores virtual reality by processing, converting and manipulating objects made from cardboard. He takes his audience along with him on a scavenger hunt that is as pleasurable as it as irritating: playing with wonderfully absurd DIY arts and crafts, he searches for the vanishing point of our humanity – no matter whether it is real, virtual or augmented.

The COLLECTIF AÏE AÏE AÏE works at the crossroads between visual art and the performing arts and can now finally be seen in Berlin with its internationally successful grotesque yet true vision of the future. Proceeding from burning questions regarding cybernetics, transhumanist ideology and artificial intelligence, ERSATZ travels to a future that is already the present to open the 2025 edition of Theater der Dinge.
