Theater is a space that wants attention. And that hides a bunch of things. When everything goes wrong, what has been hidden becomes the focus: who is working there. Who is living there. Who has been pushed down to the ground or up against the wall. Or who has been providing the lighting the entire time but can’t be seen themselves.

OUT OF ORDER is theater despite everything an asurd show created and performed by theater technicians and the plain things in theater.

After the screening of OUT OF ORDER on September 8 there will be a performative talk (retrospective improvisation) with Alisa Tretau.

Among other things, the performance addresses experiences of sexism. Strobe lights, dazzling headlights, fire effects and pyrotechnics will be used. There may be smoke and burning smells. There are loud, popping sounds.Notes on accessibility: Information about the accessibility of the venue in structural terms can be found here.
