The species on the planet Earth, a planet under threat, have been discussing things for quite some time - but now the decision has been made: the human race can be a part of things. There is, however, a problem: the goal of the mission is a secret. And so Anna Kpok has been brought in as a mediator. Under the pretense of a live online multiplayer theater game, she is supposed to make first contact with the human race and invite it to wander through a futuristic game world, experience things and enter into a discussion - in order to make a future-oriented decision at the end of it.

Since 2009, Anna Kpok has produced performances, installations, games and discussion formats in alternating constellations, always with an interest in the construction of community, subject and work. In doing so, Anna Kpok seeks to create interactions between audience members and its artistic subjects in its work and invites everyone involved to create a (play)room together.

The foundations for "The First Contact" were made as part of the first StageJam at Schaubude Berlin in Sepember of 2021.
