Reading. I leave my body behind me and disappear, exiting the space of solitude for a second to reach out. To whom? For what? I move between three spaces: the mental, the virtual and the physical. I am in every room at the same time and yet, in reality, I am in none.

In Liis Vares' online performance, the performer remains invisible. We only see traces of them, words and observations, that are transferred into the digital arena. Choreography using letters and words in a word processing document, underpinned by an intense electronic soundtrack.

The event will take place as a live stream. We welcome you in our virtual foyer on Zoom before the performance and invite you to an audience discussion with the artists after the stream. To participate, you will need to download Zoom and will further need to agree to its privacy policy. Please note that the audio of the event will be recorded and archived on the festival blog for public access.

Notes on accessibility: The event will take place using the Zoom video chat program. Zoom can be controlled using a keyboard and supports common screen readers. You can set the contrast and font sizes individually. Detailed information on Zoom accessibility can be found here. It is possible to take part without images or sound. Participation in the conversation is voluntary.
