Do we need new venues for puppet theater?

Almost a rhetorical question: Apart from festivals, which often focus on the novelty value of plays, the number of permanent venues in which puppeteers in Germany can regularly show their productions is relatively limited. The venues in turn face the dilemma of not being able to show as much as they would like to – because the year only has 365 days … So there is an urgent need for new venues for figure theater.

At this regulars’ table, we would like to talk together about what possibilities we see for establishing new venues for puppet theater, what speaks against it, and what speaks in favor of creating new venues.
