Floods, droughts, fires. These especially affected Slovenia in 2023: rivers swelled massively thanks to heavy rain, causing floods and landslides. “Transport: Departure” penetratingly documents the story of a family whose home fell victims to the masses of water. The production by Puppentheaters Ljubljana looks at how individual decisions are interweaved with political and economic structures and asks what future is still possible if humanity ignores the boundaries of nature.

“Transport” is a six-part theater series that has been celebrated across Europe that concerns itself with the effects of mobility in a globalized world. All productions use individually created scenographies consisting of realistically designed spaces, buildings, streets and public infrastructure that are inhabited by 3D printed characters. An immersive experience for the audience is created with a performance style oriented around animated films and a 3D soundscape.
