At the crossroads of art and society, the alliance KompleXX Figurentheater invites you to attend a meeting that will focus on encounters, reflection and the development of new perspectives. KompleXX stands for a broad networking of the complete puppet and object theater community in Germany. Through joint actions, the alliance conducts lobbying work with representatives from the fields of cultural, educational and social policy in order to bring about fundamental improvements in the conditions for training, working and producing. Together with 16 allied partners, a wide variety of projects have been conducted since the beginning of 2025; the federal funding will run out at the end of 2025. It is time now to take stock of things and look toward the future: what has been achieved? What is left to do?
As part of the panel discussion DIVERSITY AS A FLAGSHIP: the Potential of Puppet Theater or Why the Puppets Will Save the World, representatives from the community and guests from the fields of cultural and politics will discuss the challenges, strengths and future of the puppet theater community.
