Everyone has a body, but what a body is exactly and what it can do, nobody really knows. How do we experience our own bodies? What are genuine parts of our body and what are foreign bodies – microorganisms, computer chips, artificial joints, vitamin and hormone supplements, the soul? And what about more-than-one-body-bodies: national bodies, the body politic, gender bodies?

In the decelerated Theory Café we want to start thinking together about the artificiality of our bodies, based on texts by Paul B. Preciado and others. Sentence by sentence and with plenty of room for confusion, questions and impulses we cordially invite you to join us.
