Kay and Gerda play on their roof terrace every day, until one day a splinter gets into Kay’s eye – and changes him. Now he finds playing together boring and nothing is good enough for him anymore. And so the snow queen takes him away to her icy palace up high in the north. At home, everyone realizes Kay is missing and finally think he is dead, but Gerda doesn’t give up and sets off to search for him: this is a journey full of surprises and obstacles and, at the same time, a story about the strength of a strong friendship.
