Felix Fechenbach began fighting for social justice at the early age of 17. Working at the side of Kurt Eisner, he unleashed a revolution in Bavaria in 1918. In the Weimar Republic, Fechenbach became a renowned journalist, but also worked at the same time as a puppet theater maker and author. Through his bold opposition to Hitler during the election in the small rural district of Lippe, he became an archenemy of the Nazis.
This production sheds some light on the life story of this charismatic German-Jewish personality who has nearly been forgotten today and uses it to pose questions about the time we live in.
