How can we understand an artificial intelligence? How does it feel? Felt AI is an artistic instrument that uses machine learning to analyze human interaction to create sounds that are similar to voices from them: you can cuddle, tickle and stroke it to bring about moaning and whimpering.

Mika Satomi works with E-textiles, interaction design and physical computing and has dealt intensively with artificial intelligence in recent years. With her work that can be experienced at Theater der Dinge, she opens up a tactile point of entry that goes far beyond a cognitive explanation: with her instrument made from used stuffed animals, we can train our ability to understand the intransparency of algorithms in a sensory way.
