Puppet Theater with live music and projections
The human being and composer Hanns Eisler seems to be completely full of contradictions, clever, fierce and full of desire. Eisler’s life and works are marked by the cultural revolutions of his time, by political struggles, by experiences of flight and exile and his own aspiration to create something useful. They are also marked by a struggle to achieve a form of art that people could recognize and which could change them.
Freaks & Fremde create a portrait of an extraordinary composer through a collage of selected songs and surprising scenic elements, animated video projections and excellent puppetry.
