This new festival puts the Berlin contemporary puppetry students and their artistic signatures on center stage and presents thesis productions, creations, work-in-progress presentations, coproductions and puppet karaoke – in all of the spaces in Schaubude Berlin.

The festival PULS & PEILUNG provides the students of the Ernst Busch University of Theater Arts Berlin with the opportunity to further develop their artistic profiles.The format is a snapshot from an extraordinary course of studies and offers the audience an exclusive look behind the scenes at the artistic work of young artists.

The festival presents work from the four different cohorts currently studying within the department of contemporary puppet theater: it ranges from self-developed creations from the first-years to finished productions, some of which have been made in cooperation with other theaters throughout Germany.

At PULS & PEILUNG, the audience will experience a diversity of forms, topics and personalities, compactly bundled into a four-day schedule of programming with events that have not yet been presented publicly in Berlin. While a majority of the work are intended for an adult audience, there are some that are also inteded for children and families.
