It is night. The little havelman can’t sleep. Then, he has the wonderful idea of riding his bed on wheels through the room. He builds himself a sail and blows into it. “More, more” yells the little havelman and soon he is racing head over heels along the walls, onto a moonbeam and out through the keyhole into the big, wide world and even into the sky. A fantastic journey beings where the little havelman, accompanied by the moon, meets a conceited chicken, a happy cat, an owl, a mouse and dancing stars.
