Performance and Figure Theater
Felix Fechenbach began fighting for social justice at the early age of 17. Working at the side of Kurt Eisner, he unleashed a revolution in Bavaria in 1918. In the Weimar Republic, Fechenbach became a renowned journalist, but also worked at the same time as a puppet theater maker and author. Through his bold opposition to Hitler during the election in the small rural district of Lippe, he became an archenemy of the Nazis.
With a wild combination of puppetry and theater, the production explores the eventful life story of Felix Fechenbach and catapults it into our present time. Isn’t his courage to stand up for democracy something that we need once again today?
