From Friday, October 30, through Thursday, November 5, the festival — under the title “The World as a Model” — will bring together contemporary puppet and object theater from numerous countries and invite audiences to experience performances at various venues throughout Berlin. The program also features several premieres: On Thursday, October 1, the Artisanen will present the premiere of “Astrid Lindgren.” This puppet and object theater piece is dedicated to the life and political activism of the Swedish author. On Friday, October 9, the Lovefuckers will present the premiere of “GALAXY MEN.” This puppet theater performance, structured as an intergalactic game show, takes a humorous and critical look at images of masculinity. On Saturday, October 17, “In Fur” by Ulrike Kley and Isabelle Schaad will have its premiere. This wordless material performance for children ages 3 and up invites audiences on a sensory journey of discovery through a world of fur, transformations, and imagination. On Friday, October 23, the OBJECTION collective will present the premiere of “All Inclusive.” This material theater performance takes an absurdly humorous look at vacation dreams, promises of relaxation, and the crises of the present. Reservations are available only for groups; tickets can be purchased through RESERVIX. You can reach us at info@schaubude.berlin and 030206416890.
