Due to an illness in the ensemble, the scheduled production "Fünf Exponate" can unfortunately not take place. Instead, we will open Theater der Dinge 2022 with the latest production of the collective systemrhizoma.

Bodies approach, cross each other, overlap, disturb and distance themselves. Times of distance and isolation provoke a reflection on touching and being touched. The personal experience of protecting oneself from too much closeness has turned into an issue for the whole society. Established codes for a seemingly appropriate touch have been irritated and set in motion. How can we touch each other without crossing our boundaries?

Selina Glockner and Alba Scharnhorst develop a choreography of points of contact, permanently moving and oscillating between the fear of too much contact and the need for closeness, between protection and vulnerability, retreat and new departure.
