An evening with Alex von Humboldt – super scientist, the name behind the Humboldt Forum, and the second explorer to discover America! Even when taking on the role of both the discovered and even the discover, three Latinx performers break the Humboldtian gaze. Using sculptures, plants, stones and their own back story, they are looking for decolonial counter-histories: made from two products, potatoes and plaster, they create a dazzling web of unexpected images and dense narratives.

Looking back to their multi-award-winning production “Coffee with Sugar?”, which had its première at Schaubude Berlin in 2021, this group from El Salvador, Mexico, Cuba, Spain and Germany tackled the topic of colonial continuity and biographical material. And this is where they pick up with their new material performance “Five Exhibits”.
