Theatre Salz+Pfeffer and Schaubude Berlin are organising a joint evening on the topic of sustainability as part of Theater der Dinge 2021. Both companies will report on their own sustainability strategies and guests will have the chance to have their say, provide impetus and encourage other (puppet) theatre houses to join in. The event, which is before an audience, will take place in parallel in Nuremberg and Berlin, and the companies will be connected via live stream. For all those who cannot be present on site, a live stream of the complete event will be available online.
Taking part: Dr Annett Baumast from the Institute for Cultural and Media Management Hamburg, will give a report on certification procedures, while the Bochum artist Josefine Rose Habermehl will present the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations in 17 minutes. Berlin artist Andreu Hamermesh will show excerpts from his new play “NICHTS oder Herr Käseweis fliegt zum Mond” / “NOTHING or how Mr Käseweis flew to the moon”; the puppets for this production were made using recycled materials.
