It took three hours, eight minutes and thirty-eight seconds until a young man blew up a Norwegian governmental building and then executed young social democrats at a summer camp. In total, he murdered 77 people. What were the reactions like inside and outside of Norway – not afterwards, but instead right in the middle of things when no one knew the extent, the cause and the motivation for this act with certainty and the speculations were running wild in all directions?

Beginning with the radio program from July 22, 2011, Transiteatret-Bergen meticulously reconstructs the terror attack for the rightwing extremist Anders Breivik in this extraordinary production between object theater, film and concert. With an installation consisting of cameras, miniature worlds, live drawings, musical instruments and objects, the interdisciplinary team investigates this medializied emergency and the political reflexes of a society.

There are a few spaces for audience members available from which the English-language supertitles can be seen. You can book seats directly via our online ticketing.

Introductions to the piece will be offered on November 9 at 4:15 and on November 10 at 3:45 pm in German spoken language.
