General Terms and Conditions of Schaubude Berlin as of September 1, 2023
§ 1 Validity of the terms and conditions
These General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between theatergoers on the one hand and Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH / Schaubude Berlin on the other. They are an integral part of the contract that is concluded through the purchase of tickets and apply in the version provided at the time the contract is concluded. Visitors can download the text to their computer or print it out. We do not recognize any regulations that deviate from these terms and conditions unless they are confirmed by us in writing.
These terms and conditions also apply to members of visitor organizations whose members receive special rates, unless otherwise agreed.
§ 2 Purchase contract
(1) The purchase of tickets constitutes a purchase contract between Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH / Schaubude Berlin and the purchaser. The mutual obligations arise from these terms and conditions. In all other respects, the law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply insofar as this is permissible.
(2) The contract is concluded with the purchase of one or more tickets. The admission price is due and payable immediately. For tickets purchased via Reservix, the general terms and conditions and payment methods of Reservix GmbH also apply.
(3) The contractual partner is Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH / Schaubude Berlin.
(4) The place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
(5) The person making the purchase must check the correctness of the tickets and the change immediately upon purchase or check the order in the Schaubude Berlin online store (www.schaubude.reservix.de). Subsequent complaints are excluded.
(6) Orders for tickets via the Schaubude Berlin online store (print-at-home) are placed immediately and will be sent to the purchaser by email within a few hours of completion of the order process. If the purchaser does not receive an order confirmation within 3 working days, there may be a technical error. The purchaser is required to inform Schaubude Berlin immediately.
§ 3 Ticket prices
An admission fee is charged for attending performances at Schaubude Berlin. The artistic management of Schaubude Berlin determines the admission prices; the applicable admission prices are published in the Schaubude Berlin's program media. The prices include the statutory value added tax. When purchasing via the Schaubude Berlin online store or at advance booking offices, additional service and shipping fees may apply.
§ 4 Exemption from charges and discounts
(1) Pupils, students, trainees, people doing federal voluntary service, pensioners, people with severe disabilities, holders of proof of eligibility and job seekers are granted a discount by Schaubude Berlin on presentation of the relevant ID or proof at the box office or when purchasing online tickets at admission. People with severe disabilities who are dependent on an accompanying person will receive a free ticket for their accompanying person.
(2) Holders of a Berechtigungsnachweis will be granted a special discount by Schaubude Berlin on remaining tickets in the online store and at the box office from 24 hours before the start of the performance on presentation of the relevant ID.
(3) Members of professional theaters and theater groups as well as members of UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette) and the respective state associations for independent performing arts can receive a tax card upon presentation of appropriate proof at the box office or when purchasing online tickets at the entrance. Tax cards and the entitlement to them are non-transferable.
(4) Students of the Hochschule für schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, Department of Contemporary Puppetry can receive a student tax card on presentation of their student ID at the box office or when purchasing online tickets at the entrance to all performances.
(5) A reduced fee is charged for groups of ten or more people in the evening program and for groups from educational institutions of ten or more people in the children's program who do not participate in an additional reduction procedure. Two supervisors per group of children are exempt from paying a fee. Exceptions are made by the Artistic Director.
(6) The group discount vouchers of the JugendKulturService and Theater der Schulen will only be charged at the box office. The regulations of the JugendKulturService and Theater der Schulen apply.
(7) Infants up to the end of the sixth month of life are exempt from the obligation to pay.
§ 5 Return of tickets
The revocation or withdrawal from the purchase of event tickets is excluded. You have no right of withdrawal for ticket purchases in accordance with § 312 b BGB. The purchase of event tickets is binding.

§ 6 Cancellation and change of performance
(1) Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH / Schaubude Berlin is entitled to cancel or change performances at any time for important reasons (e.g. strike, illness), force majeure and/or due to a police or official order. In this case, purchased tickets can be returned for a refund of the ticket price. Tickets must be returned within 14 days of the performance date, after which the entitlement to a refund of the ticket price expires. Shipping costs, service fees of the online store provider and other costs will not be refunded. Purchasers are not entitled to any claims for damages.
(2) If a performance is canceled, the buyers are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. This only applies in the event that the performance is canceled before half of the scheduled performance time has elapsed. The claim must be asserted within 14 days of the performance being canceled, after which the claim for reimbursement of the admission price expires. Shipping costs, service fees of the online store provider and other costs will not be refunded. Purchasers are not entitled to any claims for damages.
§ 7 Electronic ticket sales
The General Terms and Conditions of the provider Reservix GmbH apply to the purchase of tickets via the online store and the associated advance booking offices.
§ 8 Ticket reservations
Reserved tickets must be collected from the theater box office by the date specified at the time of reservation. After this deadline, the reservation expires.
§ 9 Vouchers
Vouchers for theater tickets can be purchased in any amount. Their period of validity is not limited. Vouchers cannot be returned or paid out in cash.
§ 10 Admission
Admission to the foyer is permitted 60 minutes before the start of each performance. Exceptions to this rule will be communicated on the theater's website. In the event of late arrival or non-appearance at the start of the performance, there is no entitlement to reimbursement of unused tickets. Replacement services are excluded. There is no entitlement to late admission. The instructions of the staff must be followed.
§ 11 Domiciliary rights
(1) The Artistic Director exercises domiciliary rights in the venues of Schaubude Berlin. The evening staff, box office staff and other authorized persons are also entitled to exercise this right.
(2) Visitors may be refused entry if there is reasonable cause to believe that they will significantly disrupt the performance or disturb other visitors or if they have significantly violated these General Terms and Conditions.
(3) Persons who obstruct the orderly sale of tickets or cause a nuisance to visitors may be ejected from the venue. Visitors may be ejected from the performance in progress if they disrupt it, disturb other people or violate these General Terms and Conditions.
(4) Cell phones and other devices with acoustic signals must be switched off during the performance. As a rule, drinks and food may not be taken into the performance hall.
(5) Smoking is prohibited in the entire theater building.
(6) Photo, film, video and sound recordings of any kind are not permitted during the performance. Violations are punishable under copyright law.
§ 12 Entry into force
These General Terms and Conditions enter into force on 01.09.2023. At the same time, the General Terms and Conditions dated 22.03.2023 shall cease to apply.
§ 13 Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies
